Fancy Film is a boutique post-production house located in Silverlake, Los Angeles. We offer high end finishing, color, conform and deliverables on our video side along with editing, mixing, atmos, and VO/ADR recording on our audio side. An internship with Fancy Film is an opportunity to observe and learn these skills while working in a professional setting with high end clients. 

While there are no specific academic majors that Fancy Film looks for, we do want someone with a passion for film and an interest in post production. Interns will get experience with some of the software we use such as DaVinci Resolve, Avid and Premiere Pro. Interns will experience the day-to-day operations at a post house, shadowing tech ops, colorists, audio editors, online editors, finishing producers and facility managers. Students will have the opportunity to see how these different roles can come together to finish a film!

Responsibilities can include:

• Complete quality control watchdown of projects

• Assisting with client session setup in audio and picture bays

• Shadow learning from staff

• Help with hard drive management & organization

• Assist with client services duties

• Attend to reception duties 

This is an in-person, unpaid internship. You must be able to receive class credit for completing this internship or be receiving external funding. We require at least 2 days a week for 8 hours minimum.

Good communication skills and the ability to take initiative are essential along with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. No on-set or technical skills are required.
